Fullstack Developer (Remote Startup)

Save job

VC-backed DeFi startup with proven traction is hiring a top-tier Frontend or Full-Stack Engineer. Join a high-calibre remote team (ex-Spotify, Revolut) building user-friendly crypto tools with React, TypeScript, and Elm. The product is live, retention is strong, and growth is organic. This is a rare chance to join at a pivotal stage, early enough to shape the product, stable enough to focus on quality. Remote across Europe. No take-homes.

🚀 Software Engineer (Frontend / Full-Stack)

Remote-first across Europe | High-impact team | Building the future of DeFi

An early-stage fintech startup is building the next generation of decentralised finance (DeFi)—and they're doing it with a small, elite team of top 1% engineers. With a live product, strong early retention, and a world-class founding team from Spotify and Revolut, they’re hiring one exceptional Software Engineer to help scale the product and shape its next phase.

💡 Where the product is today

Their mobile-first DeFi wallet launched 12 months ago and already shows strong week 2 and month 2 retention, all through organic growth—no paid marketing. A fresh round of funding is closing soon, extending their multi-year runway. You’re joining at the ideal moment: early enough to make an impact, stable enough to focus on quality.

🔧 The role

This role is open to Frontend or Full-Stack Engineers. You’ll work on customer-facing mobile and web experiences in React, React Native, and TypeScript. The backend is shifting from Kotlin to Elm, with a focus on functional programming and long-term maintainability.

You'll join a collaborative, high-performance team that pairs regularly and keeps feedback flowing.

💼 Responsibilities

  • Build and improve key wallet features across mobile and web

  • Help shape architecture and engineering practices

  • Write scalable, well-tested code in TypeScript (and Elm if you're keen)

  • Pair program with engineers and contribute to a high-trust team dynamic

✅ What they’re looking for

  • 5+ years of frontend or full-stack development experience

  • Strong command of React and TypeScript

  • History of exceptional performance — academically, professionally, or through personal achievements

  • Curiosity about DeFi and web3 (you don’t need to be an expert)

🌟 Bonus points

  • Experience with Elm or other functional languages

  • Familiarity with Kotlin

  • Ability to build UIs from Figma designs

🌍 Team & benefits

  • Remote-first with teammates across Europe, APAC, and Africa

  • Monthly offsites in global locations (recent: Tokyo; upcoming: Brazil or South Africa)

  • Salary around $100K USD + meaningful equity

  • Paid in USD, regardless of where you live

  • No take-home tests—interview process includes live coding and code review
