Associate eFX Developer - Java

As an E-Trading Engineer, for an international trading team within a well-renowned financial services organisation, your primary role will be to deliver on the eFX Trading platform. You will design & develop new features from scratch, as well as improve existing ones.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, making code refactoring and managing technical debt. You align and discuss solutions directly with eTraders and provide hands-on support to colleagues when investigating production issues/outages. Working in an agile environment, you will base your work on research, collaboration and learning from failure.

Key Requirements:

This position brings a wealth of industry experience to the table. You are highly proficient in core server-side Java development and multi-threading. Your strong knowledge of design patterns, algorithms and data structures sets you apart from others.

• Highly proficient development skills – core server-side Java, multi-threading
• Experience across RFQ is ideal
• Strong design (patterns), algorithms and data structures knowledge
• Experience with the entire software development life cycle
• Experience with building services from scratch and developing on top of existing components
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery concepts. Interactions with tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Maven
• Flexibility in development technologies. Expected to work with different technologies and languages (KDB, Proprietary Software, Java, Python)
