This role sits within a collaborative and supportive Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, where your expertise will be valued and your career ambitions nurtured. You will work with a diverse portfolio of UK-based and international clients across multiple sectors, providing expert advice on complex business and fiscal changes. The organisation offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, ensuring you can balance office collaboration with remote productivity. • Join a forward-thinking team that values different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

  • Work closely with senior leaders on high-profile projects, developing your skills while supporting clients through significant business transformations and fiscal challenges.

What you'll do:

As a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through intricate tax matters while nurturing long-term relationships built on trust and expertise. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior leaders on challenging advisory projects that span multiple jurisdictions and industries. You will be instrumental in managing teams—both locally and internationally—ensuring seamless coordination between specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to each client's unique needs. By taking ownership of operational aspects such as resourcing and performance management, you will help foster an environment where junior colleagues can flourish under your mentorship. Your proactive involvement in business development activities will contribute directly to the team's ongoing success. Through diligent risk management and financial oversight, you will uphold the highest standards of service quality. Ultimately, your ability to synthesise complex information from diverse sources will enable you to provide actionable insights that drive positive outcomes for clients navigating significant business or fiscal transitions.

  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors to deliver technically robust tax advisory services on complex projects for a varied client base.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their businesses deeply and identifying opportunities to provide value-added tax solutions.
  • Manage UK and cross-border teams on advisory assignments, coordinating with specialists, overseas member firms, and external advisers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee aspects of team operations including resource allocation, performance monitoring, and the coaching and development of junior colleagues.
  • Actively participate in business development activities alongside senior leaders to identify new opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
  • Ensure engagement quality by managing risk processes diligently and overseeing client financials to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Serve as a role model for organisational values by promoting an inclusive culture and supporting the professional growth of others.
  • Critically analyse input from various stakeholders to challenge assumptions constructively and deliver insightful recommendations to clients.
  • Support clients through business reorganisations, jurisdictional entry strategies, refinancing initiatives, cash repatriation planning, interest deductibility issues, and global fiscal change impacts such as BEPS Pillar 2.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes by sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.

What you bring:

In this Corporate Tax Senior Manager position, your proven track record in delivering high-quality tax advisory services will set you apart. You bring not only deep technical knowledge but also the empathy required to understand client needs fully—enabling you to offer practical solutions that align with their broader business objectives. Your interpersonal strengths make you adept at building lasting connections both externally with clients and internally within multidisciplinary teams. Effective communication is second nature to you; whether presenting findings or mentoring colleagues, you ensure clarity prevails. Your analytical mindset allows you to navigate complexity confidently while maintaining sensitivity towards commercial realities faced by clients. Project management comes naturally as you juggle competing priorities without compromising attention to detail or responsiveness. Above all else, your commitment to nurturing others’ growth reflects your belief in collective achievement over individual accolades—a quality highly valued within this supportive environment.

  • Hold a recognised qualification such as CTA or ACA / CA (or equivalent), demonstrating advanced technical proficiency in corporate taxation.
  • Possess extensive experience in UK corporation tax with a broad awareness of related tax areas and accounting principles relevant to advisory work.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds while fostering collaborative teamwork internally.
  • Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication abilities that allow you to convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Showcase strong analytical thinking combined with commercial acumen when resolving intricate issues or providing strategic advice.
  • Display proven project management capabilities including effective multi-tasking across numerous clients, projects, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Bring sound judgement in identifying potential risks early on while knowing when it is appropriate to escalate matters or seek additional input from others.
  • Reveal genuine motivation for developing junior talent through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing within the team setting.
  • Maintain dedication towards continuous learning by keeping abreast of evolving technical developments in corporate tax legislation or practice areas relevant to your role.
