Robert Walters is proud to partner with Trident Intelligent Solutions a local, data-driven technology firm, to appoint their first Business Development Manager. Trident empowers their clients through software development and engineering services, in addition to data science and machine learning, currently focused on delivering impactful insights in the water industry.

As Business Development Manager, you will be joining a dynamic Data Consultancy team. This is a key role focused on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence space. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships and positioning our expertise to deliver impactful solutions.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships within the data, ML, and AI sectors, then pursue.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
  • Lead proposal development and pitch processes, ensuring a clear alignment between client needs and our capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to shape innovative, value-driven solutions.
  • Build a team over time of regional business development professionals within different verticals.

The Successful Business Development Manager will have

  • A proven track record in business development or sales within the data, ML, or AI consulting space.
  • Ambition and strategic thinking to help expand into new verticals (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing)
  • Strong network across a variety of industries or a specific industry.
  • Deep understanding of data science, machine learning, and AI project life cycles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, commercially minded and results orientated.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage and deliver complex projects independently.

The role is paying a salary of up to £60,000 per annum + uncapped commission. Along with a wealth of benefits including 25 days of annual leave, company pension, life assurance 4x the salary, company income protection scheme & more. The business will be moving into new offices which will come with free parking, on site gym & padel courts.

The role will be a remote position but the business do have offices in Cheshire, so they will be available to use whenever suits you. This position also does give you the opportunity to work flexible hours suited to you.
