Recruitment professionals in Robert Walters Group offices and Resource Solutions client sites across the UK raised £33,875.48 in the Group’s annual Charity Day on Friday 14 October 2016.
Through a winning display of initiative, athleticism and creativity, Robert Walters and Resource Solutions staff in London, the South East, the Midlands and the North West raised funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. Fundraising efforts included a combined effort to cycle 232 kilometres over eight hours, and a group of staff walking the length of the District line throughout the course of the day.
“We’re hugely proud to have the opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and to help them continue to perform the vital work they do,” commented Giles Daubeney, Deputy CEO of Robert Walters Group.
“I’m always extremely impressed at the level of creativity and dedication our staff bring to the charity day each year, and it’s fantastic that we’ve been able to beat our previous records for funds raised once again in 2016.”
The Robert Walters and Resource Solutions Charity Day activities weren’t restricted to the UK, with fundraising efforts taking place in offices spread across 25 countries, raising money for local charities and community projects.
During the last five years the Robert Walters Group has raised over £525,000 for charities globally.
"In its 5th year, our Group Charity Day has grown into an international initiative. It provides us an opportunity to band together as a business globally and give back locally,” said Oliver Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Resource Solutions, the Robert Walters Group’s recruitment outsourcing business. “We are very proud of our people and grateful to our clients and supporters that help us make a difference year after year.”
