Businesses from across the region - Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and Essex - can now submit entries for the prestigious Finance Awards

Returning for the third year, the Finance Awards is the only accolade of its kind to recognise the work and achievements of the region’s top finance professionals and businesses.

Bigger than ever, the awards will feature a new category – Driving Excellence in the Workforce, Manager of the Year and Tax & Trade Leader of the Year, as well as the hotly contested annual competition for Rising Star of the Year and Business Innovation.

Applicants will be judged by a panel of industry leaders in the region – last year this included Sony, Rightmove, BSI and Europcar Group. Deadline for entries is Friday 5 July 2019.

Janine Blacksley, Associate Director at Robert Walters, comments:

“The number of entries increases each year and is testament to the regions burgeoning finance sector. To be able to highlight the best diversity initiatives, innovation, or just an individuals or teams hard work is important now more than ever in what has been a tough and uncertain year for the UK as a whole.

“As always, I look forward to seeing the impressive entries and it never fails to amaze me the amount of passion, hard work and dedication that is taking place within the finance industry locally.”

Tom Lincoln, Deputy Head of Corporate Banking at HSBC, comments:

“This is the first year HSBC has partnered with this event and we are delighted to do so. The region has an abundance of thriving businesses and we are excited to celebrate their successes across a number of categories.”

Harpreet Panesar, Regional Director at ICAEW, comments:

“The dedication and hard work of professionals in the accounting and finance space has been one of the keys to driving strong economic growth in the region, creating jobs and driving business across a whole range of sectors.

“Historically there has been no awards of this kind celebrating the regions thriving financial community and so we’ve been delighted to see the Finance Awards return for a third year.”

The ceremony – hosted in partnership with ICAEW, HSBC and RSM - will take place on Thursday 7 November in Milton Keynes and will see over 500 professionals from the region gather to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the regions business and finance community.
