You will be part of a diverse group of professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality campaigns and memorable events, both in-person and online.

  • Join a dedicated marketing team that values collaboration, professional growth, and knowledge sharing across multiple regions including South Africa, America, and UAE.
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements with an average of two days per week in the office, supporting your work-life balance while engaging in both digital and live event delivery.
  • Benefit from hands-on experience with leading marketing automation platforms, content management systems, and design tools while playing a key role in delivering high-profile events

What you'll do:

As a Marketing and Events Assistant based in Manchester City Centre, you will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of impactful marketing campaigns and exceptional events. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with colleagues across different functions to ensure seamless execution of both digital initiatives and live experiences. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced marketing technology platforms—crafting compelling email campaigns, managing engaging social media schedules, producing creative collateral using professional design software, and optimising web content for maximum visibility.

  • Support ongoing marketing campaigns by utilising all elements of the marketing mix to ensure effective promotion and engagement across various channels.
  • Deliver targeted email marketing campaigns using a market-leading automation platform, measuring results and applying insights to future initiatives.
  • Manage a comprehensive social media schedule designed to generate interest and attendance for Manchester-based events
  • Publish new content and optimise existing material on an industry-leading content management system to enhance SEO strategy and audience reach.
  • Create high-quality campaign assets—including event invitations, brochures, social media graphics, and email templates—using design tools such as Adobe Design Suite.
  • Coordinate a varied schedule of Manchester events ranging from hospitality gatherings to thought leadership seminars, ensuring each event runs smoothly from conception through execution.
  • Provide extensive marketing support for flagship events by driving applications, maximising exposure, and managing end-to-end event plans with guidance from senior team members.
  • Liaise closely with teams to respond promptly to ad-hoc marketing requests and provide essential support for internal and external events.
  • Oversee all pre-event administration tasks, including sourcing speakers, liaising with venues and suppliers, managing invitations, and ensuring optimal attendee lists.
  • Take charge of on-the-day event management responsibilities such as delegate registration, speaker coordination, sponsor liaison, feedback collection, reporting on outcomes, and executing post-event follow-up communications.

What you bring:

To excel as a Marketing and Events Assistant in this team-oriented environment, you will bring proven experience or academic background in marketing or events, whether gained through previous roles or relevant degree studies. Your interpersonal skills will allow you to build rapport quickly with colleagues across departments as well as external contacts involved in event delivery.

  • Proven experience or academic background in marketing or events
  • A basic understanding of the full marketing mix combined with a genuine enthusiasm for learning new skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities that enable you to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong copywriting skills with an eye for detail when creating engaging content for emails, social media posts, event materials or website updates.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools such as email automation platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or similar), content management systems (CMS), and design software like Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience or keen interest in supporting both virtual and live events, from initial planning stages through on-the-day coordination and post-event follow-up activities.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills demonstrated by your ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels as well as external suppliers or partners
