Housing Disrepair Specialist

Save job

An opportunity awaits you at a rapidly growing national legal practice, where they are searching for a Housing Disrepair Specialist to join the team in their Manchester office. This is your chance to become a key player in a department that’s expanding its services and delivering real results for clients. With flexible working options, fantastic incentives, and a clear path for career progression, this role empowers you to make a lasting difference and shape the future of the department.

What You'll Do:

As a Housing Disrepair Specialist, you will:

  • Take charge of your own portfolio of housing disrepair cases from first instruction right through to settlement or trial, ensuring each client receives attentive and thorough service.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments, sharing insights and supporting one another to achieve shared goals and celebrate collective successes.
  • Play an active part in shaping the housing disrepair department by contributing ideas on best practices and process improvements.
  • Support departmental growth by reporting on financial performance as required and offering creative suggestions for further expansion.

You can work how you like, whether that’s in the office or from home. If you enjoy being remote 3-4 days per week, you’ll be trusted to do so. In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll be entitled to up to a £10k annual bonus based on performance.

What You Bring:

To succeed in this role as a Housing Disrepair Specialist, you’ll bring:

  • Experience independently handling housing disrepair as a paralegal, litigation executive, legal executive, fee earner or qualified lawyer.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills paired with a compassionate approach enable you to support clients.
  • Proficiency using digital case management systems or comparable legal technology platforms allows you to manage workloads efficiently.
  • Current understanding of legislation governing housing disrepair claims ensures you can apply practical knowledge effectively in real-world scenarios.

The Company:

This organisation stands out as one of the few firms dedicated specifically to private residence sector work—a unique focus that distinguishes it from competitors rooted solely in traditional areas like RTA or commercial litigation. Since its founding just a few years ago, it has achieved remarkable growth by embracing new markets such as housing disrepair. The company cultivates an inclusive atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged naturally; employees enjoy genuine flexibility around remote work balanced by regular opportunities for face-to-face connection. Recognition comes not only through competitive salaries but also via transparent incentive schemes that reward outstanding contributions.
