What you'll do:
In the capacity of Private Client Solicitor based in Bath, you will:
- Independently manage a broad portfolio of private client matters including Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and Court of Protection applications.
- Consistently deliver exemplary client care by establishing trust-based relationships with clients, professional contacts, and local referrers.
- Work closely with solicitors, legal assistants, support staff, and central teams across multiple offices to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Assist in nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients whilst actively participating in business development activities.
- Provide clear and empathetic advice tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, ensuring their needs are addressed with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Support the Head of Private Client Team in achieving departmental objectives through effective collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Uphold the firm’s reputation for excellence by adhering strictly to best practices in compliance, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times.
- Engage in regular team meetings and training sessions designed to enhance your skills and keep you abreast of developments relevant to private client work.
- Offer guidance or mentorship to junior colleagues or legal assistants as required, fostering an atmosphere of learning and mutual support within the team.
What you bring:
To thrive as a Private Client Solicitor in this appointment, your background should:
- Possess a minimum of five years’ demonstrable experience managing private client matters such as Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, LPAs, and Court of Protection applications.
- Exhibit the ability to independently oversee a varied caseload whilst maintaining rigorous standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to foster trust-based relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities allowing you to elucidate complex legal concepts clearly and empathetically.
- Adopt a collaborative approach that facilitates knowledge sharing within multidisciplinary teams across several office locations.
- Show unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding client care through attentive listening, responsiveness, and sensitivity to individual requirements.

- Experience assisting with business development activities or relationship management with professional contacts would be advantageous though not essential.
