What you'll do:
In the capacity of Corporate Solicitor within this highly regarded Bristol-based team, you will be:
- Drafting, negotiating, and agreeing documentation for a comprehensive range of corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, fundraisings, refinancing, and exits.
- Providing thorough support to partners and fee-earners across the Corporate team by assisting with intricate legal matters and contributing to the delivery of exemplary client service.
- Managing your own caseload of transactions and files with efficiency while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout each stage of the process.
- Engaging directly with clients at all levels to provide clear advice, foster trusted relationships, and ensure their requirements are addressed in a timely and considerate manner.
- Participating in meetings with clients and other legal professionals both internally and externally to facilitate seamless progress on transactions and encourage collaborative working relationships.
- Contributing to business development initiatives by attending events and proactively seeking new opportunities to expand the firm’s client base and enhance its standing in the market.
- Delivering an efficient, courteous service that reflects the firm’s values of professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness at all times.
- Collaborating closely with specialist sub-teams such as private equity, venture capital, incentives/EOTs as well as other divisions like Banking & Finance or Corporate Tax when required.
- Supporting international corporate transactions by liaising with overseas law firms on cross-border matters as part of a knowledgeable networked team.
- Contributing positively to the team’s inclusive culture by sharing knowledge generously and supporting colleagues’ ongoing development.
What you bring:
To excel as a Corporate Solicitor in this esteemed role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience (two to five years PQE) in corporate law acquired within a reputable law firm or equivalent environment handling mergers & acquisitions or comparable transactional work.
- Excellent drafting abilities with proven competence in preparing clear, accurate legal documents for complex corporate transactions either under supervision or independently as appropriate.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring all work adheres to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations or best practice guidelines.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with clients from diverse backgrounds as well as colleagues across various teams.
- A flexible approach that allows swift adaptation to changing priorities or client requirements while maintaining consistent quality of service.
- Genuine interest in business development activities including participation in networking events or identifying new client opportunities for the firm’s continued growth.
- Capacity to manage multiple matters concurrently using sound organisational skills without compromising thoroughness or reliability.

- Willingness to contribute constructively within multidisciplinary teams including specialists from areas such as tax or finance when required.
