As the sales function continues to be seen as critical to meeting growth targets, we anticipate hiring levels to be consistent.
FMCG, consumer and B2B sectors
The Survey reveals that if you work in the FMCG or consumer sectors, you can earn up to £28k if you’re a Territory Manager or National Account Executive and up to £65k if you’re a Senior Account Manager.
It is a similar story if you work in the B2B sectors, where sales salaries remain high. Here, you will receive a salary of up to £35k if you’re a Sales Executive or Account Manager and up to £55k if you are a Sales Manager entering a new job.

Strong sales professionals are very highly valued because of their ability to generate revenue in a tough market. Employers are therefore willing to be flexible on salaries when hiring – in some cases, sales professionals moving jobs are securing increases of 20% when moving jobs.
