Customer Service Advisor Contract: 6-Month Temp Salary: £12.21 + holiday pay Location: Oldham – on-site Hours: Mon-Fri (9 am-5 pm) Start date: ASAP

This is a brilliant temporary opportunity for a Customer Service Advisor to join a friendly and supportive team in Oldham. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling general enquiries and resolving complaints with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Job Spec:

  • Answering incoming calls and responding to customer enquiries in a polite and efficient manner
  • Handling and resolving customer complaints in line with company policies
  • Providing accurate information on products, services, and processes
  • Logging all customer interactions on the system accurately and promptly
  • Following up on customer queries to ensure satisfactory resolution
  • Liaising with internal departments to resolve complex issues
  • Processing customer requests, such as updating account information or sending documentation
  • Meeting individual and team targets for call quality, response time, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining a professional and empathetic approach in all customer interactions

Person Spec:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or call centre environment (inbound or outbound)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to show empathy and remain calm under pressure
  • Confident using IT systems and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle complaints professionally and find effective resolutions
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a genuine desire to help people
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets
