Senior Margining Analyst

What you'll do:
- Ensure all clients and counterparties within the Central Funding Group are fully collateralised and marked to market across multiple entities in strict accordance with relevant legal agreements such as GMRA or GMSLA.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the desk regarding any collateral-related queries, providing clear guidance and support to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Agree upon and manage both bilateral and triparty margin calls, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely execution of all related tasks.
- Monitor, instruct, and oversee the settlement process for both bilateral and triparty transactions, proactively addressing any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Participate actively in portfolio reconciliations with counterparties whenever margin disputes occur, demonstrating effective problem-solving abilities.
- Investigate settlement fails related to margining activities by liaising with external clients as well as internal departments to achieve swift resolutions.
- Navigate organisational structures efficiently to expedite queries or requests through to resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Business & Client Services team to maintain high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
What you bring:
- A comprehensive understanding of Equities, Fixed Income products, Triparty arrangements, and fundamental trading strategies is essential for success in this position.
- Demonstrated proficiency with major Tri-party agents is required to effectively manage margining processes.
- In-depth knowledge of Securities Borrowing and Lending as well as Repo operations is crucial for handling daily responsibilities.
- Experience with Nostro and Depot reconciliation ensures accuracy in transaction settlements.
- A proven track record of developing Straight-Through Processing (STP) solutions highlights your commitment to operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with one or more regulatory regimes such as CASS, Transaction Reporting, MiFID II, or EMIR is necessary for compliance purposes.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure while responding thoughtfully to Front Office demands is vital for maintaining service quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to work collaboratively within teams as well as independently when required.
- Strong attention to detail supports your capacity for thoroughness in all aspects of margining activities.
