You will play a key part in supporting the smooth operation of trade finance activities, ensuring all processes are meticulously managed. Please note, this position requires an individual who speaks fluent French.

What you'll do:

As a Trade Finance Middle Office Analyst, you will immerse yourself in the operational aspects of trade finance transactions, ensuring that all processes run smoothly from start to finish. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve reviewing critical documentation, assessing transaction requests for compliance with approved facilities, and providing essential administrative support across various product lines. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across multiple teams, helping to monitor exposures and maintain accurate records using advanced management tools. By prioritising communications effectively and becoming familiar with unique client requirements, you will contribute significantly to delivering outstanding service. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be crucial in maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency throughout all operations.

  • Review term sheets, credit applications, and facility documentation from an operational perspective to ensure seamless deal processing without unnecessary delays.
  • Assess client drawdown requests to confirm transactions align with approved facility terms, safeguarding compliance at every stage.
  • Examine guarantee wording on client requests in accordance with governing rules such as ISP 98 and URDG 758 to protect the bank’s legal interests.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for all products related to non-commodity business within the ETBO portfolio, while assisting with commodity-related business as required.
  • Engage daily with stakeholders including clients, relationship managers, product managers, and operational units to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and control exposure under the current facility portfolio to ensure accurate determination of facility availability for new requests or enquiries.
  • Prioritise inward communications based on subject matter importance with a strong focus on client centricity and service excellence.
  • Familiarise yourself with individual client processes and business flows to enable effective client ownership within the team once sufficient knowledge has been acquired.
  • Reconcile balances between the bank’s accounting system and exposure management tools for all allocated or monitored limits to maintain precise records.
  • Assist in obtaining reporting from internal systems such as Jasper and ensure alignment between control systems (TRAC) and the bank’s accounting system during reconciliation periods.
