With a focus on derivatives-based strategies and a deep understanding of volatility, this organisation offers you the chance to work alongside some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. You will benefit from direct exposure to senior leadership, access to advanced technology, and a culture that places people at the heart of its success. The firm is committed to supporting your professional growth through comprehensive training opportunities, robust wellness resources, and a competitive benefits package. • Enjoy working in an inclusive environment that welcomes diverse backgrounds and perspectives, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees regardless of race, gender identity or expression, age, parental status, veteran status or disability status.

What you'll do:

As a Hedge Fund Middle Office Analyst based in London, you will play an integral role in supporting the full trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with portfolio managers and trading desks as you manage trade bookings, monitor risk platforms, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure accurate allocations and settlements. You will also be responsible for identifying areas where processes can be improved, actively contributing your insights to drive positive change within the team. By maintaining rigorous control over P&L reporting and reconciliation checks while responding efficiently to queries from various stakeholders, you will help uphold the high standards expected by this prestigious investment management firm. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively towards shared goals.

  • Manage trade bookings across a wide range of financial products including equities (cash & derivatives), fixed income, credit, FX and commodities to ensure accuracy throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Assist portfolio managers by monitoring risk platforms and troubleshooting any issues that arise during daily operations.
  • Oversee matching platforms to confirm all risk metrics and trade bookings are precise and up-to-date at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with sales counterparts and operations teams to guarantee timely allocation and settlement of trades.
  • Identify inefficiencies or gaps within existing processes, recommend improvements, and actively participate in implementing new procedures for enhanced workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor key control functions such as profit & loss reporting, reconciliation breaks, and end-of-day checks to maintain operational integrity.
  • Respond promptly to multiple queries from the trading desk while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives by sharing ideas within the team environment for better outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements throughout all middle office activities.

What you bring:

To thrive as a Hedge Fund Middle Office Analyst in this organisation’s London office, you will bring proven experience from previous roles within middle office or operations functions, ideally gained at another leading financial institution or hedge fund. Your background should include hands-on involvement with trade support activities across various asset classes such as equities (including derivatives), fixed income instruments, credit products or foreign exchange markets. A solid grasp of the end-to-end trade lifecycle combined with familiarity around key control processes will enable you to contribute effectively from day one. In addition to technical skills like Excel proficiency and ideally some exposure to Bloomberg you will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal abilities that allow you to build strong working relationships across departments. Your meticulous approach ensures accuracy even when handling multiple priorities simultaneously; your willingness to share ideas supports ongoing process improvements; and your commitment to collaboration helps foster an inclusive team spirit.
