Manager Treasury and Capital Management Reporting Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 Location: London Keywords: Treasury, Capital Management, Regulatory Reporting, Financial Services, Hybrid Working, London, Team Collaboration, Control Frameworks, Stakeholder Engagement, Professional Development

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for you to join a globally connected financial institution as a Manager in Treasury and Capital Management Reporting. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of capital, large exposures, and leverage reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. The organisation is renowned for its global reach, robust governance, and commitment to professional growth, making it an ideal setting for those who value structure, collaboration, and continuous learning. With direct responsibility for motivating junior team members and driving process improvements, you will be empowered to make a tangible impact on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

What you'll do:

As Manager Treasury and Capital Management Reporting, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all aspects of capital calculation, analysis, and reporting are executed with precision. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with colleagues from across multiple departments to deliver accurate regulatory returns, preparing executive summaries for senior management review meetings, supporting system enhancements alongside IT teams, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. You will also play an integral role in strengthening control environments by designing reconciliations, maintaining documentation frameworks, monitoring risk indicators, and participating in audit management. Your ability to motivate others while managing your own workload efficiently will be essential as you help drive both routine operations and strategic-change initiatives. By fostering close relationships with stakeholders throughout the business, including Financial Reporting, Risk Management, Front Office, and IT, you will ensure that new business activities are supported by robust reporting systems that meet evolving regulatory demands.

  • Oversee the timely completion and submission of all capital returns and management information reports for both internal governance committees and external regulators.
  • Motivate and guide junior staff members through daily processes while reviewing their output to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations for Regulatory Capital and Large Exposures (LE), producing daily reports for management as well as quarterly submissions to head office.
  • Prepare comprehensive quarterly COREP returns covering Own Funds, Risk Weighted Assets, Large Exposures, and Leverage for submission to relevant authorities.
  • Produce insightful management reports for governance bodies such as the Asset & Liability Committee and Board Risk Management Committee.
  • Design and implement control improvements within Treasury and Capital Management reporting processes by embedding robust frameworks and operating models.
  • Actively participate in the Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) process and monitor key control metrics to maintain a strong control environment.
  • Engage closely with the Finance IT function to deliver system changes that enhance reporting capabilities in line with regulatory developments.
  • Lead or contribute significantly to core regulatory change initiatives impacting capital management reporting across the organisation.
  • Support reconciliation of capital data against the general ledger during month-end processes to validate regulatory returns.

What you bring:

To excel as Manager Treasury and Capital Management Reporting, you will bring not only technical expertise but also genuine enthusiasm for structured environments where accuracy is paramount. Your background should include hands-on experience preparing regulatory returns such as COREP submissions or similar reports required by UK regulators. Familiarity with capital adequacy concepts, such as large exposures calculations, and an affinity for accounting principles are essential. You should feel comfortable guiding less experienced team members through established processes while also contributing ideas for incremental improvements. Your ability to communicate clearly across functions will enable you to build trust among stakeholders ranging from IT specialists implementing system changes through to senior executives reviewing board papers. A natural curiosity coupled with meticulous attention to detail ensures that you proactively identify discrepancies or areas needing enhancement before they escalate into larger issues. Above all else, your dependability makes you someone others can rely on during critical reporting cycles or when navigating complex regulatory updates.

  • A degree-level education with a strong academic background demonstrating analytical rigour.
  • Full qualification in CIMA, ACA or ACCA showcasing your technical proficiency in accounting standards relevant to financial services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PRA capital requirements for banks or investment firms including familiarity with RWAs (Risk Weighted Assets) and COREP returns.
  • Proven experience working within Financial Services environments where regulatory reporting is central to operations.
  • Solid understanding of financial instruments, particularly commodities, and their treatment within trading book contexts.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel (including complex formulas), PowerPoint (for presentations), and Access (for data management).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels across multicultural teams.
  • Demonstrated capability in problem-solving through analytical thinking when addressing issues related to data quality or process inefficiencies.
  • A collaborative approach combined with clear communication skills that foster positive working relationships across departments.
