Liquidity Reporting Analyst Salary: £365 - £480/day UMB Location: London Keywords: liquidity reporting, regulatory analysis, treasury, financial services, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, risk management, reporting tools, project support, flexible working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Liquidity Reporting Analyst to join a leading financial institution’s Corporate Treasury team in London. This role offers you the chance to play a pivotal part in the production and delivery of all liquidity and funding information, supporting both internal stakeholders and regulatory requirements. You will be at the heart of a collaborative, high-performing team that values progressive thinking, mutual success, and personal growth. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in an environment where your expertise is valued, and your development is fully supported. If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact while advancing your career in financial services, this is the ideal next step.

  • Join a supportive and knowledgeable treasury team responsible for critical liquidity and funding reporting across the organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK and European regulations.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to key projects that shape the future of liquidity risk management within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

What you'll do:

As a Liquidity Reporting Analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all aspects of liquidity measurement are executed with precision. Your day-to-day activities will involve producing essential reports that inform both internal decision-making processes and fulfil external regulatory obligations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across treasury functions as well as senior stakeholders, providing them with clear insights into the bank’s liquidity position. Your ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy will be crucial. In addition to regular reporting duties, you will have opportunities to participate in project work—such as implementing new risk models or supporting system upgrades—and contribute directly to strategic initiatives like ALCO papers. By fostering strong relationships with both local teams and head office counterparts, you will help ensure consistency in reporting standards while also driving continuous improvement within the function.

  • Produce timely, accurate, and complete liquidity and funding reports for both internal use and external regulatory submissions, ensuring all outputs are validated against prior periods and reconciled to source systems.
  • Deliver daily liquidity metrics to key stakeholders as well as monthly and quarterly returns to regulators, maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
  • Engage regularly with head office teams to ensure the alignment of local reporting with global standards and objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the liquidity risk profile associated with various products, contributing valuable insights to the wider treasury function.
  • Implement new liquidity risk models and associated analytical tools to enhance reporting capabilities and support business objectives.
  • Support communications with regulators and central banks as required, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Contribute to ALCO (Asset Liability Committee) papers and LCT (Liquidity Contingency Team) papers by providing detailed analysis and commentary on liquidity positions.
  • Assist in the delivery of key projects, including user acceptance testing for new systems or processes related to liquidity measurement.
  • Help create centres of excellence for specific products by sharing knowledge and best practices across teams.
  • Continuously maintain, develop, and enhance existing liquidity reports and tools while identifying areas for self-development and additional training.

What you bring:

To excel as a Liquidity Reporting Analyst, your background should include significant exposure to regulatory reporting within financial institutions—ideally spanning at least five years. Your technical proficiency will enable you to interpret complex data sets accurately while applying relevant regulatory frameworks. You will bring not only subject matter expertise but also an empathetic approach when collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Your attention to detail ensures that every report meets stringent quality standards; meanwhile, your adaptability allows you to respond constructively when priorities shift unexpectedly. Effective communication is vital: whether liaising with senior management or responding thoughtfully to regulator queries, your clarity fosters trust throughout the organisation. Above all else, your commitment to ongoing learning means you are always seeking ways to improve both personally and professionally, making you an invaluable member of any treasury team.

  • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in liquidity reporting roles within banking or similar regulated sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK and European regulations governing all aspects of liquidity metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis with a proven ability to solve complex problems using logical reasoning within financial services environments.
  • Solid grasp of secured financing products including their impact on overall risk profiles.
  • Proven track record delivering practical solutions under tight deadlines without compromising quality or compliance standards.
  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities effectively while still achieving longer-term project goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels across multiple departments.
  • Clear written and verbal communication abilities are essential for preparing reports and presenting findings succinctly.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities combined with persistence in resolving issues through collaboration.
