What you bring:

To excel as an eTrading Markets Compliance Advisory professional in this organisation’s London office, you will bring substantial experience from previous roles focused on regulatory compliance within financial services—preferably involving electronic trading platforms or foreign exchange products. Your background should include hands-on involvement with algorithmic trading controls as well as exposure to major regulatory frameworks governing global markets activity. You are adept at interpreting new legislation or industry codes into practical guidance for business units while maintaining an unwavering focus on detail. Your interpersonal skills are second-to-none; you thrive when working collaboratively across diverse teams—whether reviewing governance structures with risk managers or explaining nuanced compliance issues to traders. A natural communicator who can translate complexity into clarity for different audiences is essential here. Additionally, your ability to anticipate potential risks before they escalate sets you apart as someone who not only responds but also adds value through foresight. If you have experience working within large multinational organisations or have contributed to cross-jurisdictional initiatives previously—this will serve you well given the global reach of this position.

  • Extensive experience in a Regulatory Compliance role within financial services, ideally focused on eTrading environments with deep knowledge of FX markets products such as cash FX or options.
  • Demonstrated understanding of algorithmic trading control frameworks including their design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring requirements.
  • Comprehensive grasp of benchmarks governance along with familiarity with key regulatory principles such as those outlined by FMSB or under MiFID II/MAR/DFA regimes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills enabling you to dissect complex processes while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to articulate technical compliance matters clearly across multiple stakeholder groups both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of building collaborative relationships within multi-disciplinary teams spanning risk management, operations, sales/trading desks, and senior leadership.
  • Awareness of the FX Global Code or similar industry guidelines would be advantageous for this position.
  • Experience navigating global organisations or working on cross-border projects is highly desirable given the international scope of this role.
  • A commitment to upholding ethical standards combined with a proactive approach towards identifying emerging risks within fast-evolving markets.
