Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant Location: Peterborough Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a market leading logistics business, is looking for an experienced management accountant to play a key role in providing financial insights and support key decisions to promote business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• The preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to monitor financial performance
• Analyse financial data, monitor risk and identify trends which could promote business growth.
• Ensure accurate cash flow forecasts and manage working capital effectively.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial guidance and support business operations.

About you:

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA active studier with the plan to become qualified
• Experienced management accountant with a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
• Advanced excel ability, as well as experience with accounting systems
• A proactive and adaptable approach with a strong desire to improve financial processes
• Logistics experience is desirable
