Group Technical Accountant - Newly Qualified

Group Technical Accountant/ Newly Qualified Accountant Based in Watford £50,000 - £60,000

Robert Walters are seeking individuals who are either seeking a first move from practice and the opportunity to broaden their experience or alternatively those who already possess relevant experience gained in industry and are excited to work for a leading brand based in Watford. Key responsibilities for the Group Technical Accountant will include the following :

• Prepare accounting and reporting papers for audit and other purposes

• Provision of support with compliance to IFRS　

• Lead and advise on complex accounting matters such as pensions, derivatives, share-based payment, impairment testing and leasing

• Tax – advise and lead on correct accounting for entity restructures and tax owned recharges

• Technical support to strategic projects – acquisition accounting, write offs/impairments etc.

• Support the Group Reporting Manager through Full Year and Interim reporting

You must have:

• Experience in Practice or a Financial Accounting / Reporting environment, preferably with plc exposure

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA only)

• Experience in technical accounting and reporting – IFRS, Local GAAP and accounting advice / paper production

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisation and planning skills
