Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a finalist CIMA/ACCA Management Accountant in West London. This role offers a competitive salary of £50k - £55k and the chance to be part of an iconic fashion and homeware brand. The successful candidate will support the Financial Reporting Manager and the wider team in the completion of Monthly Management Accounts and Reporting

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Reporting Manager and wider team. Your responsibilities will include managing the monthly accounting process, posting P&L and Balance Sheet journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, analysing costs and variances, providing monthly reports to the business, supporting audit processes, and ensuring effective ERP system integrations. You will also have opportunities to support more junior team members through coaching and training.

• Responsible for the monthly process in the accounting system (Sun) for the entire group
• Posting P&L and Balance sheet journals as part of the month-end process
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for relevant balance sheet accounts (accruals, prepayments)
• Analysing costs and variances to budget / forecast during monthly review process
• Providing monthly reporting to the business as required
• Supporting the team as required for other month-end close process and analysis
• Acting as key audit contact, including providing support for audit queries
• Providing support for key statutory accounts notes and disclosures
• Working with the Finance Systems & Reporting manager and the IT team to ensure that ERP system integrations are working effectively

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position will be a finalist CIMA/ACCA professional with proficiency in Excel. Previous experience using Sun would be beneficial but not essential. You should be resilient, well-organised, able to manage your own time and deadlines with minimal supervision. A flexible and positive approach is essential along with being a collaborative team player who is prepared to oversee and help others in the team.

• CIMA / ACCA finalist
• Proficient in Excel (Sums, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
• Previous experience using Sun would be beneficial but not essential
• Resilient, very well organised and able to manage own time and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Flexible and positive approach, prepared to get involved with new tasks / projects
• Collaborative, strong team player, prepared to oversee and help others in the team
