Group Financial Reporting Manager Manchester (hybrid) £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus
About the opportunity:
Our client is seeking a Group Reporting Manager to join their high calibre team in Manchester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Group finance team of a well-backed, profitable business who are constantly looking to diversify their revenue streams. This is a future Group Financial Controller position and would suit an ambitious individual with further aspirations to one day become a Group Financial Director.
Being responsible for the reporting & financial management of this Group, you will play a key role in the successful completion of their quarterly and annual audits. You will oversee accurate and timely reporting, seek to drive improvements to processes, and build strong working relationships with the leadership teams across various divisions. You will provide key insights and updates on new IFRS standards to ensure regulatory compliance. You will work as part of a high calibre, social team, committed to fostering a high calibre working environment.
The role:
- Manage, coach and develop the high calibre team (both qualified & part-qual finance professionals).
- Lead responsibility for preparing the Group's quarterly and annual consolidated financial reporting.
- Provide expert IFRS guidance and technical accounting advice in response to changes in standards or business developments.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across divisional finance teams and FP&A.
- Act as the key point of contact for Group audits.
- Support and manage the timely preparation of statutory accounts.
- Assist with complex technical accounting matters, including processing and maintaining consolidation adjustments.
- Provide a Group overview on insights on business performance.
- Lead the documentation and standardisation of accounting policies across the Group.
- Implement and monitor new accounting policies and processes where changes are required.
- Support the maintenance of robust balance sheet controls, assisting with reconciliations as necessary.
The Successful Individual:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- A background in audit ideally with 3+ years' experience within industry.
- Proven experience of coaching and developing teams.
- Excellent IFRS knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting procedures and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
