  • Gain exposure to end-to-end disclosure processes, technical accounting issues, and collaborative projects with cross-functional teams across the global finance network.

What you'll do:

As Senior Group Finance Manager, you will design innovative solutions for new disclosure requirements while maintaining rigorous controls over published data. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across regulatory reporting, product control, investor relations, tax, accounting policy, and regional finance teams.

  • Offer practical guidance to regional sites regarding accounting changes, supporting them through transitions in standards or regulatory expectations.
  • Engage proactively with business units and stakeholders such as Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Change Management, Treasury, and others to ensure readiness for new requirements from both operational and systems perspectives.
  • Lead reviews of financial reporting areas and drive initiatives aimed at optimising and automating reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the timely delivery of external financial reports within strict deadlines by preparing draft financial statements in accordance with all relevant requirements and participating actively in quarterly close processes.
  • Take accountability for reviewing complex areas of group external financial reporting, understanding the implications of various transactions on consolidated statements.
  • Interpret and communicate intricate financial concepts clearly to senior stakeholders including the Group Audit Committee via well-crafted written papers.

What you bring:

Your background includes hands-on involvement with interpreting evolving accounting standards and implementing robust controls over consolidated data.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is essential for this position given its technical demands.
  • Demonstrable experience working within Financial Services is required to navigate sector-specific challenges effectively.
  • Proven track record in financial reporting within large institutions, ideally at group level, ensuring familiarity with complex consolidation processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of external disclosure requirements, balance sheet management, and core accounting concepts relevant to major organisations is vital.
  • Experience drafting clear accounting papers or proposals coupled with confidence in providing practical recommendations on technical issues is highly valued.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS as well as awareness of other regulatory frameworks is necessary for success.
  • Ability to design analytical procedures that provide assurance over published statements demonstrates your attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across different levels of seniority, business functions, and geographies supports your ability to influence outcomes positively.
