What you'll do:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of audit clients, ensuring all work is delivered to the highest professional standards and within agreed timelines.
- Oversee the preparation of accounts and corporation tax computations/returns for limited companies, maintaining accuracy and compliance at every stage.
- Provide practical guidance on regulatory matters such as tax and VAT regulations, requirements of UK law, and principles of good governance.
- Support work flow planning by overseeing your team's portfolios and ensuring effective resource allocation across projects.
- Deliver revenue and profitability targets through careful management of client relationships and project budgets.
- Foster enduring relationships with clients by understanding their needs, delivering tailored solutions, and maintaining regular communication.
- Develop and inspire junior team members through coaching, mentoring, and sharing technical knowledge to support their professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) while keeping up-to-date with changes in IFRS/UK GAAP standards.
- Collaborate closely with local partners on ad-hoc duties as required to support business objectives.
- Contribute actively to the implementation of the firm's smarter people plan by promoting best practices in teamwork and knowledge sharing.
What you bring:
- Hold ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification with proven post-qualification experience in audit management roles within accountancy practices.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP standards alongside practical experience applying these frameworks in real-world scenarios.
- Showcase experience auditing clients across a variety of industries, adapting approaches to suit different business models and regulatory environments.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients as well as internal teams.
- Display a genuine passion for developing others through coaching or mentoring junior staff members towards achieving their own qualifications or career goals.
- Possess outstanding organisational abilities enabling you to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail throughout each engagement.
- Be comfortable providing clear guidance on complex tax matters, including VAT regulations and navigating evolving legislative requirements confidently.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by staying abreast of industry developments relevant to audit practice or financial reporting standards.
