Pricing Analyst

Responsibilities of the role:
- Assist in developing fee agreements at various organisational levels by analysing historical data and current best practices to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis tasks, preparing detailed reports and dashboards to inform decision-making processes.
- Maintain and update comprehensive databases tracking all pricing projects, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Support fee earners by modelling alternative fee arrangements tailored to client needs and market trends.
- Collaborate with team members on post-matter analyses to identify areas for improvement and share actionable insights.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis using profitability models to enhance efficiency and increase overall firm profitability.
- Prepare clear, concise pricing content for external audiences, including responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring all requirements are met.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing and Accounting to meet client deadlines and deliver exceptional service.
- Summarise complex pricing analyses into digestible formats for senior management consumption, facilitating informed strategic decisions.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements, actively participating in initiatives aimed at streamlining procedures and enhancing service delivery.
Requirements of the role:
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis or data analysis within a professional services or shared services environment
- A background in large law firms or similar organisations would be advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling complex data sets is imperative for maintaining high standards of reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, V-lookup functions, charts/graphs creation, macros, what-if statements, and financial formulas.
- Strong analytical mindset paired with intellectual curiosity enables you to engage collaboratively with team members on diverse business challenges.
- A positive attitude towards coaching and development
- Excellent interpersonal skills allow you to communicate clearly while presenting sensitive information diplomatically.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments effectively so that reporting deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality.
