Billing Administrator

The Role
The Billing Administrator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of invoices in accordance with client agreements and firm policies. This role works closely with partners, fee earners, and the wider finance function to support revenue generation and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process monthly client invoices

  • Liaise with fee earners to ensure billing instructions are accurate and compliant

  • Monitor billing schedules and key deadlines

  • Respond to billing queries and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with e-billing processes where applicable

  • Maintain billing records and documentation

  • Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and reporting

About You

  • Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment

  • Strong understanding of billing processes and client accounting

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure

  • Experience with legal finance systems (e.g. Elite, Aderant, or similar) is desirable
