An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Case Manager to join a highly respected professional standards team, dedicated to upholding the highest levels of integrity and excellence within the UK’s leading taxation bodies. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring that professional standards and anti-money laundering obligations are met, while working alongside a committed group of colleagues who value fairness, efficiency, and inclusivity.

Job Title – Case Manager

Salary - £47,200 per annum

Contract Length – 12 month FTC

Location – Hertfordshire

Working Pattern – Fully Remote

Job Responsibilities

  • Screen incoming complaints and referrals with care and attention to detail, ensuring each case is managed in line with established frameworks and procedures.
  • Take ownership of allocated complaints and cases from receipt through to conclusion, adhering strictly to professional standards requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Conduct thorough investigations by gathering evidence, drafting witness statements, instructing expert witnesses as needed, and maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complainants, respondents, advocates, witnesses, and other stakeholders throughout the disciplinary process.
  • Compile accurate data for regular reports to the Board, sponsors, HMRC, and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Attend meetings as required to report on anti-money laundering enforcement activity and contribute insights into ongoing improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the professional standards team to share knowledge and best practices in case management.

Experience Required

  • Expertise in either accountancy/taxation or regulatory law is essential for effective case management within this context.
  • Experience gained as a solicitor or as a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
  • A relevant accountancy or tax qualification is desirable but not essential if equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
