What you'll do:

As a Financial Advisor in this respected wealth management practice based in Northampton, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals and companies towards achieving their financial ambitions. Your day-to-day activities will involve engaging deeply with clients to understand their unique situations before crafting tailored plans that encompass everything from retirement income strategies to investment portfolios. You will use your analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and recommend practical solutions that drive positive outcomes. By maintaining strong communication channels with your clients, you will demystify complicated concepts and empower them to make informed decisions about their finances. Your ability to stay abreast of regulatory changes ensures your advice is always compliant and trustworthy. Working collaboratively with other professionals both inside and outside the organisation allows you to offer truly comprehensive support. Success in this role comes from building enduring relationships founded on empathy, reliability, and expert guidance—helping clients feel secure about their present circumstances while preparing confidently for the future.

  • Analyse complex financial data to identify areas for improvement and create actionable recommendations that align with clients’ objectives and circumstances.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of a wide range of financial products including investments, pensions, insurance policies, and select the most suitable options for each client.
  • Design robust retirement income strategies that help clients understand their options and secure sufficient funds for their future needs.

What you bring:

To excel as a Financial Advisor in this forward-thinking wealth management firm, you will bring proven experience advising clients on personal finance matters within regulated environments. Your background should include hands-on involvement in developing tailored plans covering investments, pensions, protection products, and estate planning. You are adept at interpreting complex data sets using advanced software tools while remaining sensitive to each client’s individual needs. Your interpersonal skills are second-to-none; you communicate clearly yet empathetically whether educating first-time investors or supporting seasoned business owners through major transitions. A deep understanding of industry regulations underpins your work ethic—ensuring every recommendation meets rigorous compliance standards. You thrive when collaborating across disciplines—valuing input from legal experts or fellow advisors—and are committed to ongoing learning so your knowledge remains current amidst evolving market conditions. Above all else, your passion lies in helping others achieve security through thoughtful guidance rooted in integrity.

  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning or advisory roles spanning at least three years within the financial services sector.
  • Possession of a Level 6 qualification such as the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (CII) or Diploma in Financial Planning (CISI), though candidates holding Level 4 qualifications will also be considered if they bring additional relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in using specialist financial planning software tools (such as IO) to analyse data efficiently and produce high-quality reports for clients.
  • Deep understanding of a broad spectrum of financial products including investments, pensions, insurance policies, and how these can be leveraged for different client scenarios.
