Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team in Shirley. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Data Management: Maintain and improve financial models and databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial software and ERP systems is desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
