Finance Analyst

Seeking a talented Financial Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract with a leading global professional services team. This role involves regular reporting, analysis duties, and ad hoc tasks. You will be the go-to person for financial queries, offering insights to enhance practice performance. The contract begins in August and is open to qualified, qualified by experience, or part-qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a financial support point of contact for various groups, addressing financial queries.
• Deliver monthly KPIs with comprehensive commentary on profitability drivers.
• Prepare financial analyses to aid strategic decision-making across practice groups.
• Present monthly results, conduct historical trend analysis, and model future performance.
• Analyse performance against targets, monitor trends, and propose solutions for improvement.
• Handle ad hoc queries from Partners, Business Managers, Marketing, HR, and other teams.
• Work closely with Business Managers, Partners, HR, and other support teams on planning, re forecasting, and budgeting exercises.
• Prepare presentations and data for management meetings, office visits, and practice reviews.
• Develop commercial awareness of practice groups to provide actionable insights to stakeholders

Skills Required:

• Strong data manipulation and Excel skills with a high degree of proficiency.
• Proficiency in Tableau and presentation software, including PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with confidence in interacting effectively with senior management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
• Strong financial understanding and commercial awareness.
• Experience in analysing financial data and reporting on financial performance, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Preferred experience in the legal sector or a professional services firm.
