Job Title: Financial Accountant (12m Fixed Term) Location: Milton Keynes

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements for multiple trading companies, consolidating accounts, liaising with auditors, managing cross-functional relationships, and enhancing reporting and control processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of financial statements for multiple trading entities in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the auditors, responding to queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify areas for improvement within current reporting and control processes to improve efficiency and accuracy – documenting where necessary
  • Review and refine reconciliation processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, with a focus on multi-entity reporting and consolidations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

This role offers hybrid working within our Milton Keynes office and is offering c£60,000PA
