My client is a Photovoltaic components distributor established in continental Europe, now entering the UK.
The Role:
They are seeking a Business Development Manager, located in the UK to enable the local market entry. Reporting to the Commercial Director, responsible for ensuring the achievement of sales and collection objectives for all products in the portfolio.
Responsibilities: • Attract high-volume purchase-sale clients to develop a high-value portfolio. • Achieve sales and collection objectives for all products in the company's portfolio. • Know your client portfolio in detail and prioritise them based on their contribution of value to the company. • Develop commercial work with those potential clients who, due to their profile, are likely to be personalised portfolio clients. • Offer credit operations to those clients who, due to their low-risk profile, can pay in a deferred manner. • Collaborate with the Financial Department in obtaining Factoring lines for deferred payment clients. • Collaborate closely with both the sales team and the rest of the company's team to achieve sales and collection objectives, promoting a good work environment. • Participate in events and professional fairs in the sector (mainly industrial self-consumption and small photovoltaic solar parks).
Requirements: • More than 4 years of experience as a technical salesperson in a manufacturing or distributing company of photovoltaic components, and even in electrical and electronic material companies. • Knowledge of English at the negotiation level is essential. Spanish a nice bonus but not essential • Detailed knowledge of the technical characteristics of photovoltaic solar panels, power inverters, mainly lithium batteries, structure, and other components of a photovoltaic solar installation (mainly self-consumption orientation). • Ability to travel across the UK as required. Small amount of European travel to meet other members of team and visit the factories.
