What you'll do: As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement operations within our client's organisation. You will be responsible for implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-effective solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's bottom line while working alongside senior stakeholders.
Implement the procurement strategy including operational and tactical sourcing projects or contract renewals with moderate complexity and risk.
Manage external supplier spend, driving breakthrough results through effective development and delivery of sourcing and contracting strategies.
Deliver all low risk/complexity sourcing activity, including RFx, supplier negotiations and contracting, ensuring compliance with sourcing policy and alignment with business strategy.
Demonstrate knowledge of markets and sophisticated commercial acumen through all sourcing activities and commercial negotiations.
Utilise and promote all procurement systems as required and deliver procurement projects in line with process and standards.
Work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, playing an increasing role in ensuring value for money from supplier engagements.
What you bring: The ideal Sourcing Specialist will bring a wealth of experience in procurement processes. You will have demonstrated success in running simple procurement processes including stakeholder liaison, tender issuance, evaluation, and contract document creation. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively at all levels, while your knowledge of non-IT categories will be highly beneficial. Your analytical, communication, interpersonal, negotiating and presentation skills will be key in this role.
Understanding of end-to-end procurement processes including scoping business requirements, creating project plans, creating tender documentation, and adhering to project governance.
Experience running simple procurement processes – including liaising with stakeholders, issuing tenders, evaluating responses, and creation of contract documents from templates.
Previous experience using procurement/purchasing systems.
Interpersonal skills to communicate information succinctly in an organised manner both verbally and in writing at all levels.
Knowledge of non-IT categories would be beneficial.
Ability to discuss business scope of requirements and specification design.
Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, negotiating and presentation skills.

You will carry out driver assessments for all new starters, agency drivers, any drivers that have been involved in an road traffic incident in line with a plan and where applicable, on a ‘How’s my Driving’ event; assessing driving standards, improving safety, fuel efficiency, reducing incident frequency and to improve overall standards.
To work with the site Transport Management Team to identify, review and act on telematics data relating to RTI and driver behaviour in conjunction and act as a technical expert relating to telematics and incident investigations.
Responsible for establishing a programme of driver training that covers SAFED, DCPC, induction and procedural training including agency training standards and controls.
Responsible for managing and maintaining the drivers licence record checks in line with Company and Legal policy.
Conduct Induction Training and Vehicle Familiarisation to ensure all drivers are correctly trained for the vehicles and expectations of transport policies
