This household name organisation in central Liverpool are recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller on a 12-15 month fixed term contract, covering business as usual duties.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, your core duties will include;
Responsibility for audits of all entities serviced by the Finance Team in Liverpool, including preparation of statutory accounts, Finance Team audit preparation and follow-up on any improvements recommended by auditors in a timely manner
Primary contact for central tax team and HMRC for regular reporting, year-end statutory accounts, and any ongoing tax matters
Primary contact for central treasury to ensure BAU treasury requirements are met and to drive improvements to the global banking structure through the integration of subsidiary bank accounts into the HQ banking network
Responsibility for ensuring that all capital expenditure and leases are accounted for in accordance to accounting standards and supporting the business on larger capex project accounting
Production of any technical papers required by audit/tax and other relevant parties for discussion and review by the Head of Finance & IT
Driving continuous improvements in the control environment, ensuring business and financial controls are robust and comply with all Internal Audit standards
GAP closure of any improvement points raised in Internal Audit
Line manager to Management accountants and finance projects lead
Ad hoc project support as directed by the Head of Finance and IT
Key requirements;
Experience in an Interim Finance Manager or Financial Controller role
Fully qualified, preferably ACA or ACCA
Audit trained, preferably big 4
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Experience working within a group of companies with overseas subsidiaries
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of ERP systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills that reflect the ability to manipulate data such as Pivot tables, filters and lookups.
