Senior Software Engineer Warwick (hybrid) £70,000 to £80,000 per annum Permanent

I am currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing in-house team, with a focus on driving efficiency and innovation through AI integration. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on a high-impact products used by external parties, where your expertise will directly influence the way technology supports real-world operations.

Senior Software Engineer – What will you be doing?

• Collaborating with both in-house engineers and offshore partners to design, develop, and maintain a high-traffic systems.
• Embedding AI capabilities throughout the software development process, utilising agentic coding techniques and tools such as CodeX or Claude to optimise workflows and product performance.
• Making key architectural decisions that ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the platform across web and mobile applications.
• Managing small teams through dotted line responsibilities, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, mentorship, and collective problem-solving.
• Leveraging AWS infrastructure to build robust backend services using Node.js APIs accessed via Postman, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components built in React.
• Implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions with SST and Terraform to automate deployment processes and maintain consistency across environments.

Senior Software Engineer – What will you need?

• Proven experience developing scalable web applications using React for frontend interfaces that support high-volume user interactions.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Node.js for backend API development, including integration with AWS cloud services for secure data management.
• Demonstrated ability to embed AI capabilities into software products using agentic coding techniques and familiarity with tools such as CodeX or Claude.
• Strong understanding of mobile app development principles with practical experience using React Native for cross-platform solutions deployed in field environments.
• Experience managing teams, mentoring junior engineers, facilitating knowledge sharing sessions, and promoting collaborative problem-solving.
• Solid grasp of infrastructure-as-code concepts with proficiency in SST and Terraform for automating deployments across multiple environments.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman for validating backend integrations between services.
• Keen interest in exploring emerging AI technologies—actively seeking ways to integrate them into existing workflows for enhanced efficiency.
