Test Manager - Azure

A global reinsurance firm is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead testing across a large-scale migration from on-premise infrastructure to Azure Cloud (AVS). This role is critical in ensuring the successful transition of applications and infrastructure, enabling full data center exit.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the end-to-end test strategy for cloud migration projects (on-prem to Azure/AVS)

• Lead testing across infrastructure, application workloads, networks, integrations, and performance

• Manage test teams (onshore and offshore), align test coverage with project risk, and ensure delivery partner accountability

• Evaluate and challenge 3rd-party test plans to ensure technical and business risks are addressed

• Work closely with technical architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to drive quality across the migration lifecycle

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in both on-premise and Azure cloud environments, with deep understanding of their differences and dependencies

• Hands-on experience delivering testing for large-scale cloud migrations, particularly involving Azure and AVS (Azure VMware Solution)

• Strong knowledge of networks, VLANs, and server/application communication paths

• Track record in risk-based test management across multiple testing streams: integration, regression, UAT, performance, and OAT

• Minimum 10 years in technology, including 5+ years in test leadership roles

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and ability to lead distributed testing teams

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field; Azure/cloud certifications preferred
