About the company: Our client is a seed stage Gen AI start up that is backed by YC Combinator and the largest tech firm in the world. The business is moving to series A round in H1 2025. Their AI product enables software engineering teams to increase their productivity in large companies. They already had large banks/Tech firm clients using their product, they are launching their product publicly in March 2025.

About this job:

Ideal candidates have a solid technical foundation combined with broad, general knowledge. They should be comfortable working with the rapidly evolving LLM ecosystem and have practical, hands-on experience in applied machine learning. The right person will enjoy both conceptual innovation and meticulous optimization, whether that’s crafting a clever solution, refining a baseline model, designing thorough evaluations, exploring new datasets, or running controlled scientific experiments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a wide range of synthetic datasets
• Train models and conduct experiments to assess synthetic data quality
• Use generated synthetic data to train state-of-the-art models
• Drive additional data-focused research initiatives aimed at improving data qualit
• Instruction tuning, preference alignment, and model optimization;

Job Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of practical Machine Learning experience
• ⁠Can lead and execute ambitious machine learning projects from start to finish
  Are well-versed in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Large Language Models, as well as related tooling
• ⁠Prior exposure to synthetic data is a plus
• ⁠Have strong skills in Python
• ⁠Experienced in setting up GPU-based training environments (e.g., Lambda, Runpod, Sagemaker)
