NodeJS Developer - Blockchain / API Team

I am working with a Global Investment Bank to hire an experienced NodeJS Developer to work with the existing global Digital team. You will be working within the BlockChain / Web3 Team, whereby you will be upskilled for the role, gaining skills and knowledge that are hard to come by, boosting your career in an evolving industry.

What You Will Be Responsible For
Architecture, development and delivery of a greenfield tokenisation platform
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate blockchain technology into existing banking systems and applications
Working with 3rd party vendors to integrate their APIs into State Street ecosystem
Designing, coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts using languages such as Solidity
Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Strong API development skills (preferably NodeJS) – designing, building and testing APIs, integrating with 3rd party APIs, API design patterns
Proficient in programming languages commonly used in Web3 development (Solidity, JavaScript / TypeScript)
An in-depth knowledge of blockchain protocols, smart contracts and decentralised application development
Hands-on experience with either private permissioned (Hyperledger Besu, Consensys Quorum etc) or public blockchains
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS / Azure) – CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Expertise with systems integration, preferably in a financial environment

Role Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months with likely extensions. (Multi Year project/Budget)
IR35: Inside / PAYE
Rate: £500 - £580
Location: Hybrid, 2 days in office (Canary Wharf), 3 days remote
