Python Developer - AVP - Front Office

Leading financial services organisation is hiring for a Python Developer (AVP) to join on a full-time basis to work across their expanding equity division. This will be a unique opportunity to be part of a high performing team, working across python, SQL and OOO. Please note this positions requires 4 days/week in the office (London).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test and deploy across equity function through the use of Python and SQL
  • Provide L3 support across systems and work on bug identification and fixing
  • Work with technical teams to continue to grow out internal and external functions
  • Communicate directly with business functions (i.e. equity trading desk)
  • Be in the office 4/5 days per week (non-negotiable)

Key Skills:

  • 5+ professional years across Python and SQL
  • Skilled across OOO and SOLID concepts
  • Experience with manipulation libraries; Pandas/NumPy
  • Skilled across Excel
  • Skills in BDD and Unit Testing
  • Financial services experience (mandatory)
  • Experience across other OOO (i.e. Java, C# etc.) - desirable
  • Experience or eagerness to learn Docker, CI/CD, KDB+
