Our client is on the hunt for a proactive Network Support Engineer to join their team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that is building London’s next-generation business fibre network. They are committed to engineering excellence and unrivalled customer service, trusted by the most important organisations across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will ensure all clients receive exceptional customer service during all contact with the Service Desk, thus ensuring continual exceptional operational service.

What you'll do:
As a Network Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all clients receive exceptional customer service during all contact with the Service Desk. You will provide technical support to customers, monitor customer network equipment and ongoing tickets, interact and coordinate with different teams to resolve issues promptly. Your role will also involve providing concierge-level support throughout the customer onboarding process and managing multiple ongoing issues simultaneously. You will be expected to communicate effectively within the team, the wider organisation, and customers.
* Provide technical support to customers and respond to network issues via email or phone.
* Monitor customer network equipment and ongoing tickets.
* Interact and coordinate with different teams to get issues resolved on priority.
* Provide concierge-level support throughout the customer onboarding process.
* Manage multiple ongoing issues simultaneously.
* Effectively communicate orally and in writing within the team, the wider organisation, and customers.
* Willingness to visit POPs and DCs.
* Willingness to respond to network and customer issues outside of usual business hours, both planned and unplanned.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Network Support Engineer role should have or be willing to acquire within 90 days required certifications such as Network+, CCNA (desirable), JNCIA (desirable). You should possess strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, Switches, Routers. Project Management capabilities are essential along with strong customer-facing skills both over the phone and in-person. Excellent written communication is a must-have along with being a quick learner possessing strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. You should be able to coordinate between multiple teams to achieve positive results and be proactive and adaptable, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of technical experience or previous Network Support Engineer experience is required along with hands-on experience with networking equipment.
* Required Certifications: Network+, CCNA (desirable), JNCIA (desirable)
* Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Switches, Routers).
* Project Management capabilities.

* Quick learner with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

* 3 to 5 years of technical experience or previous Network Support Engineer experience.
* Hands-on with networking equipment.
