Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join their team in London. This role offers an attractive salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 and the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment. As the first point of contact for all IT-related issues and queries, you will provide timely support to end users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Your excellent communication skills and commitment to customer service will be key in this role.

What you'll do:

As an IT Support Engineer (1st & 2nd Line), your role will be pivotal in maintaining the technological operations within the organisation. You'll be responsible for providing first-line support across a variety of platforms including hardware, software, networking and Google Workspace. Your ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues will be crucial in ensuring minimal downtime. Additionally, your role will involve managing user accounts, supporting mobile devices and remote access tools, as well as accurately documenting all interactions within the IT ticketing system.

  • Respond to support requests through various channels including a ticketing system, phone, email or in person.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues relating to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Escalate more complex issues to second and third-line support teams as needed.
  • Provide support for in-house desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Use Microsoft Intune to assist with the deployment of software to end-user devices.
  • Provide first-line support for Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Meet.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure that users can connect to network resources.
  • Assist users with password resets and basic account management in Microsoft Entra and Google Workspace.
  • Provide support for mobile devices and assist with configuring VPN and other remote access tools for users.
  • Accurately document all support interactions and troubleshooting steps in the IT ticketing system.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the IT Support Engineer (1st & 2nd Line) role will bring a strong set of problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities. You'll have experience working collaboratively within teams and managing multiple projects concurrently. Your background in software deployment using Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace tools, basic network troubleshooting, user account management, mobile device support and IT ticketing systems will be highly valued.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
