An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join a dynamic team in London. This role offers the chance to work on an outside IR35 contract, with a competitive daily rate of £250 - £300. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering top-notch deskside and remote support services, handling support calls and projects within agreed metrics, and ensuring that work is prioritised and completed in line with business expectations. This is an office-based role, requiring attendance five days a week. The service desk operates between 8:30am to 6pm, with two engineers splitting the time.

What you'll do:

As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's IT infrastructure. You will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing prompt resolution through the Jira helpdesk. Your responsibilities will also include managing Active Directory user accounts, supporting various devices including workstations, laptops, Surface Pros and mobiles. You will create new software builds following corporate standards while ensuring they remain up-to-date and well-documented. Delivering exceptional customer service will be at the heart of your role as you strive to maximise First Call Resolution performance rates.

  • Provide front-line call resolution for all IT related issues using Jira helpdesk
  • Manage Active Directory user account, access and network administration based on company standards and policies
  • Support all workstations, Surface Pro and laptop computers along with mobile devices
  • Create new computer software builds in accordance with corporate standards and ensure they are kept current and documented
  • Ensure all support calls within the call logging system follow defined processes and procedures
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, perception and satisfaction to all IT users and customers
  • Support and administer Microsoft Azure, 365, Intune, Active Directory, assisting with testing and deployment of changes where appropriate

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Desktop Support Analyst role will bring a wealth of hands-on experience in specifying, configuring and troubleshooting user issues within a dynamic Windows Desktop environment. You will have a sound understanding of TCP/IP, networking and basic firewall principles. Your expertise in end-user Apple and Microsoft products, coupled with your working knowledge of Backup Software and common backup and restoration tasks, will be crucial to your success in this role. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences will set you apart. Additionally, your proficiency in MS Office 365 and the Office suite of applications will be highly valued.

  • Extensive hands-on experience specifying/configuring/troubleshooting user issues in a changing Windows Desktop environment
