Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Platforms Manager to join their team in London. What you'll do:
As an Infrastructure Platforms Manager, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our client's IT infrastructure. You will take ownership of the operational management of their evolving hybrid environment while building and leading a high-performing team. Your broad technical background across both networking and server/cloud infrastructure will be crucial in ensuring their infrastructure is secure, performant, and well-managed. You will also shape the team’s structure, processes, and service management approach.
* Lead and grow a team of 6-8 engineers covering Azure infrastructure, networking, and cloud security.
* Mentor and develop engineers, ensuring strong cross-discipline collaboration.
* Own the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of our Azure platform and hybrid network infrastructure.
* Work closely with the migration partner to ensure a smooth transition from on-prem to Azure.
* Ensure our networking and cloud services are highly available, resilient, and well-documented.
* Drive an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach using Terraform.
* Act as the technical bridge between infrastructure, security, applications, and external vendors.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Infrastructure Platforms Manager role brings a wealth of experience in leading infrastructure or platform operations teams. You possess a strong hybrid skill set across networking and server/cloud infrastructure. Your deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure services will be instrumental in managing our client's platform effectively. Your understanding of service management frameworks such as ITIL will guide your approach to operational excellence. Above all else, your pragmatic problem-solving mindset will help navigate complex transformations.
* Experience leading an infrastructure, networking or platform operations team.
* Strong hybrid skill set across networking and server/cloud infrastructure.
* Deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure services including networking, IaaS, PaaS.
* Experience with network architecture & operations including SD-WAN, SASE, firewalls.
* Understanding of service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
* Pragmatic problem-solving mindset with experience navigating complex transformations.
