We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Manager to Join Robert Walters as a Workforce Consultant. As an Employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.

The successful candidate will join a thriving team in London working on a project which is expected to support the migration of our clients outsource investment accounting provider to an alternative provider.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the client has a robust plan in place, the successful candidate will drive the execution of that plan incorporating all elements of the service transition process, data, systems, knowledge share and training needs. You will work with the investments team, successful vendor and other teams within the business, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of the project outcomes against required timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver the end-to-end transition
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, data, IT, finance, actuarial and operations to deliver
  • Approach and plan for the transition including legal, service, process, technology and data
  • Appropriate change management
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with the business’ Change Management policies, industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure successful transition to operational teams
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members

You will have:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, in the investments arena ideally within Insurance
  • Proven experience of outsource management and transition/migration
  • Strong understanding of investment processes in particular accounting processes
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software delivery specifically managing Agile ways of working (DevOps)
  • Strong vendor management - working with multiple delivery approaches
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Work with vendor to create business and functional requirement documents
  • Tailor and configure accounting data and workflows
  • Review chart of accounts and ensure correct accounting policy is maintained
  • Ensure reconciliation between incoming and outgoing data sets are accurately performed
  • Liaise with internal external experts to oversee data migration between two vendors as well as inhouse finance system and other downstream systems
  • Facilitate training of accounting team
  • Conduct UAT testing and manage parallel run period
  • During the implementation period, there will be new business initiatives that needs to get connected to both incoming and outgoing vendors
  • Manage any planned system change of the outgoing vendor
  • Manage vendor relationship and escalate any potential conflicts
  • Complete implementation of contractual activities and terms
  • Set up SLA monitoring framework and handover to accounting team
