Cloud Platform Engineer – Snowflake

What you’ll be doing

• Automating Snowflake provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
• Building monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks
• Driving cost optimisation across the Snowflake platform
• Implementing security best practices (RBAC, data masking, identity integration)
• Developing automated testing and validation for platform changes
• Establishing governance, audit, and compliance controls
• Designing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Creating reusable infrastructure templates and modules
• Producing clear technical documentation and onboarding materials

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in platform or cloud engineering, with a focus on Snowflake
• Deep Snowflake expertise (warehouses, RBAC, data sharing, performance tuning)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
• Scripting skills (SQL, Python, or Bash)
• Strong understanding of Snowflake security (masking, encryption, federation)
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and usage tracking
• Proven ability to optimise performance and manage costs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• A proactive approach to documentation and platform standards
