Head of IT

Robert Walters is working in partnership with a leading financial services business. They specialise in providing experts services across pensions, wealth management and financial planning across both personal and commercial services. In addition, they offer tailored services across retirement, tax and estate planning. They are considered market leaders in providing customer and client-centric services, operating across multiple locations. Due to continued growth and acquisitions, they are keen to appoint an experienced Head of IT, to be based out of the central Birmingham offices paying a salary range up to £100,000 plus bonus. As an experienced Head of IT, you will oversee IT Infrastructure, Service Delivery, and Cyber Security whilst leading operational resilience.

Head of IT: Duties

• Experience of business acquisitions – Highly desirable
• Lead delivery of IT services across group – ensure modern cloud-first infrastructure
• Lead user-focused approach to technology
• Oversee IT service delivery, infrastructure and cybersecurity
• Ensure systems are secure, saleable and in line with business needs
• Contribute to operational resilience planning, including business continuity & DR
• Collaborate to align IT strategy with group strategy
• Manage third party service providers
• Drive FinOps culture – cost control across all IT operations

Head of IT: Experience

• Experience within a financial services environment – Highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of multi cloud infrastructure – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Knowledge of both Cyber Security and Service Delivery
• Experience of operational resilience and business continuity planning
• Managing third party vendors and IT projects
• Experience of IT Governance, Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance

The permanent opportunity for a Head of IT, will pay a salary up to £100,000 with bonus with a hybrid working model from the central Birmingham offices.
