Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Application Support Officer to join their dynamic team in London. This role offers an attractive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 and the opportunity to work with a diverse array of systems and applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business process planning, managing and maintaining systems, and contributing to project work which may involve some business analysis. What you'll do:
As an IT Application Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting business processes within the System Management and Application teams. Your responsibilities will extend from administrating, maintaining, and managing systems to carrying out system operations under supervision. You will also take on the role of a Security Administrator, planning and executing system access control measures while organising IT security training for users. Additionally, you will act as a Security Operator under supervision, handling system account creation, changes, and deletions. Your role will also involve supporting the Assistant Manager of Business Processing Group and the Head of IT while taking on additional duties as requested.
- Support business process planning.
- Manage and maintain systems.
- Contribute to project work which may involve some business analysis.
- Administrate, maintain and manage systems as a System Administrator.
- Carry out system operation, maintenance and management under the supervision of System Administrator as a System Operator.
- Plan and carry out system access control including organizing IT security training for users as a Security Administrator.
- Carry out system account creation, change and deletion under the supervision of Security Administrator as a Security Operator.
- Support the Assistant Manager of Business Processing Group and the Head of IT.
- Carry out other duties as requested by the Assistant Manager, Head of IT or the General Manager.

As the ideal candidate for the IT Application Support Engineer role, you bring a wealth of experience and a strong educational background. You have proven experience in supporting systems & applications across all areas front to back including systems used for Trade Capture, Middle & Back Office operations, Static & Market data capture and distribution, Risk, PnL. Your confidence in dealing with traders and middle office across multiple asset classes sets you apart. You are familiar with trade, static and market data required in trade flow. Your understanding of banking services and operational processes is solid. You have experience in supporting a complex .NET application suite and SQL Server environments. Your interest in software development is evident in your ability to implement code changes in .NET, SQL, Python, and PowerShell. Your fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills are exceptional. You possess good interpersonal skills and a pro-active attitude. Above all, you are self-motivated with an interest to pick up new skills and areas of work.
- Educated to degree level
- Experience in supporting systems & applications across all areas front to back including systems used for Trade Capture, Middle & Back Office operations, Static & Market data capture and distribution, Risk, PnL.
- Confidence in dealing with traders and middle office across multiple asset classes (FX, Futures, Rates, OTC Derivatives etc)
- Familiarity with trade, static and market data required in trade flow.
- Understanding of banking services and operational processes
- Experience in supporting a complex .NET application suite and SQL Server environments
- Interest in software development and ability to implement code changes in .NET, SQL, Python, and PowerShell
- Fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a pro-active attitude.
