IT Security Architect (Financial Services)

My client, an International Bank, are looking for an IT Security Architect to join their growing team in London. For this role you will need to be in the office 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement secure solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology, and threat drivers.

· Define and deliver security architecture governance, ensuring that all IT projects and key initiatives are in alignment with our core security principles and the overall IT strategy.

· Support the application and infrastructure teams in integrating security by design principles into their project lifecycles.

· Provide expertise in security systems and architectures, cybersecurity trends, and emerging threats.

· Lead the development of security architecture and principles. Input into the development and updates of Technology Risk led standards.

· Work with the Technology Risk team to evaluate and mitigate risks, ensuring that IT frameworks and methodologies incorporate best practices in information security.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:

· Proven experience as a Security Architect or similar role in a financial services environment.

· Strong understanding of security by design principles and IT risk management.

· Knowledge of current IT security technologies and infrastructure.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF) are highly desirable.
