Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 base with a strong discretionary bonus

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Specialist to join their dynamic Technology team. What you'll do:
As an Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our client's technology infrastructure operations. Your role will encompass the design, engineering, and support of their multi-tenant private and public cloud initiatives. You will be expected to deliver exceptional service levels to stakeholders while understanding key business processes. Your contributions will directly enhance the expanding business. You will plan, implement, and support new and diverse technology initiatives while working either independently or as part of a team.

What you bring:
The ideal Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Specialist brings a wealth of industry experience to the table. You have comprehensive platform engineering and support experience biased towards the Microsoft server technology portfolio. Your expertise extends to advanced virtualisation design with VMWare, Microsoft, Kubernetes. You are proficient in Infrastructure as Code methodologies with On-Prem and Cloud IaaS. Your scripting or programming skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python are commendable.
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience (Financial Services).
- Comprehensive platform engineering and support experience biased towards Microsoft server technology portfolio (On-premise bare metal hardware deployments (preferably HPE), Advanced virtualisation design and architecture).
- Experience with VMWare, Microsoft, Kubernetes.
- Platform engineering and support experience with public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code methodologies with On-Prem and Cloud IaaS.
- Scripting or programming skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python and familiarity with APIs and data structures in JSON/YAML or similar.
- Experience with Source Control, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and ServiceNow.
- Experience with GenAI technologies on-premise using Nvidia GPU or via Public Cloud, OpenAI, AWS etc.
