Role: DevOps Engineer (Senior Level) Location: St.Helier, Jersey Robert Walters has partnered with a leading global Hedge Fund/Asset Management firm in helping them find a DevOps Engineer. The client is looking for a DevOps professional who is a Test/CICD automation specialist required to help streamline deployment of their application to AWS This is a hybrid role, in the Jersey office 4 days a week with a salary ranging between £80,000 - £110,000 + Bonus + Relocation Allowance

The ideal candidate has experience with the following;

• 5+ years industry experience - preferably in Financial Services
• In-depth knowledge of one or more testing frameworks
• Understanding of testing and automation best practices
• Experience automating testing to aid in the release process
• Expereince writing comprehensive test suites for UI and server components
• AWS, Terraform (or a similar IaC tool)

The role:

Test/CICD automation specialist required to help us streamline deployment of our application to AWS. Help us build robust test coverage by automating test environments, writing test suites and advising the team on best practices. We need the tests to be part of a semi-automated release process to deploy across testing, pre-prod and production environments. The role also involves, as part of the team, operational support to keep the platform running. We need an experienced developer to help with:

• Standing up test environments
• Writing comprehensive test suites for UI and server components.
• Enhancing the CI/CD workflow.
• Training and supporting developers in testing best practices
• Enhancing platform monitoring

Role requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of one or more testing frameworks
• Understanding of testing and automation best practices
• Knowledge of DevOps and application delivery principles
• Experience with configuration and use of monitoring tools and platforms
• AWS
• Terraform or similar IaC tool
• DataDog or similar monitoring product
• Financial industry experience

Experience required:

• 5 + years industry experience
• Track record delivering robust testing and CI/CD workflows
• First line support/KTLO

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Have worked delivering and directly supporting technology solutions for a number of years, ideally in a financial service setting
• Be focused on delivering value to end users in the immediate term, but also with consideration for maintainability over the longer term
• Be confident in their own work, have trust in their team and not be afraid of providing first line support to keep systems running
• Take ownership and responsibility for their work, and collaborate well within the team and with other groups to solve problems and integrate with other systems
• Appreciate robust testing and release processes and actively work to keep delivery automated and repeatable
